Where AI actually gets used
Artificial intelligence has spent three years proving it can do almost anything. The harder question is where it gets used. Increasingly, the answer is software built around how a single sector really works.
Beauty and wellness is one of the largest of those sectors and one of the least modernized. It runs on appointments and repeat visits, and much of it is still managed on tools that were never designed to talk to each other. Bookings sit in one system, payments in another, marketing in a third. Each holds a fragment of the customer relationship. None holds the whole picture.
That fragmentation is the opportunity. All-in-one platforms already exist in this category. The argument for consolidation is not tidiness; it is that a system which sees the whole business can act on it. Pricing, retention, and demand become visible as they happen, which is the difference between useful AI and decorative AI.
Most of these entrepreneurs didn’t start the business because they wanted to spend their time answering calls and chasing bookings. They started it because they were passionate about their craft.

The goal is not to automate the relationship between a professional and a client. It is to shorten the distance between someone deciding they are interested and someone being booked, and to give the operator leverage everywhere else.
Two decades on the inside of enterprise software
Two decades on the inside of enterprise software
As an Executive Vice President at Aptean, Aydin worked with business owners, executive teams, and private equity partners on growth strategy, operating performance, and transaction planning, including M&A and exit work alongside Bain Capital and Vista Equity Partners. He has built and turned around operating teams internationally, taking organizations from a lack of accountability toward profitable, scalable growth.
He served as Chief Operating Officer and U.S. Country Lead at Yocale before taking the chief executive role at Yocale.ai.
What that background is for
Aydin spent his career building the software that gives large companies leverage: systems, data, reporting, and capital discipline. The contrast between larger companies and an independent salon or clinic owner is why the company exists.
Who the operators are
Owners are service providers first, exceptional at their craft, and on top of that they run marketing, staffing, pricing, payments, and reporting, usually before or after a full day of client work.
A running start, not a blank sheet
A running start, not a blank sheet
Most early-stage technology companies begin with a product and have to prove a market. Yocale.ai begins from a different position.
The underlying Yocale platform has more than ten years of commercial operating history and thousands of service providers across more than 22 countries, including customers in beauty and wellness. That produces not only technology but also operating experience in how appointment-driven businesses acquire customers, manage capacity, process transactions, retain clients, and grow customer lifetime value.
The vertical focus is an acceleration strategy, not a limitation. It concentrates an established foundation in a category where the company already has experience, allowing new capital to go toward specialization, AI, commercialization, and distribution rather than rebuilding the operating system underneath.
We’re not presenting Yocale.ai as a 10-year-old public operating company. The advantage is that we’re pursuing a new strategy without starting from a blank technological slate.

Owning the code
Many platforms in this category license third-party infrastructure or assemble white-label tools and pass the cost to the operator. Yocale.ai owns and controls the core technology and end-to-end workflows, which allows it to integrate deeply, configure around the vertical, and build intelligence into how the business runs.
One set of books
Most salons run bookings in one system and money in another. Put deposits, checkouts, and memberships through the same system that schedules the appointment, and the operator can see a client's full history in one place: what they booked, what they paid, and whether they came back.
Intelligence inside the workflow
AI is treated as an augmentation layer over a structured system of record, not a chatbot placed on top of a product. Intelligence that sits outside the system stays outside the system.
Building the data layer

Rather than managing toward a share of a headline market figure, Aydin points to four things to watch over the next twelve months.

Can we turn technology foundation, operating experience, and market opportunities into measurable execution? That’s what investors should hold us accountable for.
